The LPL is China's top League of Legends league and the largest of the four major regions. Its depth is the story: with twelve teams in the current stage, the middle of the table is usually tighter than anywhere else in the sport.

How the LPL format works
The LPL group stage splits into Group Ascend and Group Nirvana, so placings restart at 1 in each. The two groups are separate ladders and can carry different numbers of teams, which is why one table below may be longer than the other.
Group sizes are uneven, so compare win rate rather than raw wins when reading across the two tables. A 3-0 in a shorter group is not automatically ahead of a 6-2 in a longer one.
Because the region is deep, LPL teams often arrive at international events underrated by their domestic record. A mid-table LPL side has usually beaten stronger opposition than a mid-table side elsewhere.
